Exclamation Truck latch

I have been having so many problems with my truck latch just wanted to know if this is only a problem on 02's

If your talking about closing the trunk, its all in the way u close it. U have to give it a flick from the wrist, no a slam like other cars.

Just squirt some wd 40 into it. After winter, it seems like a little corosion built up in in on mine.

Mine busted, but thats cause thye didn't install the right springs. But otherwise I have not had many problems other than it not locking every once and a while...

yeah i called honda about it and they said it is out of alignment, so i took it up there and it worked just fine.....and now its doing it again....so ill take it back later,

oh yeah it is a minor problem with most civics, although most are fixed before they are sold

if your talking about the upside down 'U' piece that it actually latches to all you have to do is loosen the two bolts on it and match the guide lines on the 'U' piece up with those that are on the car... there are 3 lines right next to each other... stock should be on the middle one (you will know what I am talking about if you look close enough).. it takes a couple of minutes to do... no biggie.

Mine is also busted. The little plastic piece in it is deformed. Hopefully they'll fix it Monday.
