need some help guys

I own a 2002 civic ex coupe 5speed, but I'm not sure if everything is right with the engine. I just wanted to ask those guys with ex civics 5 speed, if it's normal for the tachometer to be so high when i'm cruising on the freeway. almost 3500-3600rpm. I also drove my friend's car (2002 civic Lx), and the engine works at way lower rpm. tell me if all the ex's 5 speed do the same.

Yeah that's normal... there was an olddddddd thread about it before

Automatic cruises at 2600-2800rpm @ 70mph or so..
I do 3000rpm exactly @ 80mph

edit: *Waiting for HondaGuru or S2000man to step in. * Something about the Ratios or so... Just wait and see.

so even if the engine on an ex is stronger than lx, the rpm is higher? it makes no sence.

this is my formula i came up with with my 01 ex auto. this is when you are on the biggest gear with the torque converter on, just cruising. 50 mph = 2000 rpms, 60 mph = 2500 rpms, 70 mph = 3000 rpms, 80 mph = 3500 rpms, 90 mph = 4000 rpms, 100 mph = 4500 rpms, 110 mph = 5000 rpms, 120 mph = 5500 rpms, 130 mph = 6000 rpms, 140 mph = 6500 rpms. kinda unbelievable but this was done on stock tires. also the formula is 100% linear. so now you wanna ask me how i got passed 120 mph? ok, heres the answer. 75 shot baby, 75 shot baby! yeah, i know it is dangerous to spray on the last gear while at high rpms, also bad if you have no aftermarket internals. but oh well, if i die, i die. nobody was around. and if i blow my d17, i'll use the crx i have here and save for a k20 swap. yes, i'm broke as hell now. right now, the car is in perfect shape. i guess thats why some say "hondas run forever."

you don't need nos to pass 120mph. i did 125 and it was still pulling, but the radar kinda beeped.
