headlight bulb explode...????

headlight bulb explode...????

has anyone had problems with their headlight bulbs exploding? i have had two explde on my right passenger side. each time i had to take my headlight apart and open it up. and everyone here knows how much fun it is to take off your front bumper. oh yea...the bulbs were aftermaket bulbs though. i went back to stock bulbs.

The bulbs probably had oil from your fingers. Next time you install aftermarket headlight bulbs, make sure to wipe them with windex and some paper towel. NEVER EVERRRRR lay your fingers on the glass part.

Why did you take off your bumper? You don't need to remove it to install bulbs...

no....i was warned by the parts dude at the shop i got them at. i don't think that was the problem. maybe i just had bad luck

took off bumber because the exploded...actually blown into little pieces. blue glass everywhere....i had no choice

don't worry man, almost everybody has had something go wrong with aftermarket bulbs

Same thing happened to me the passenger side bulb exploded and no I didn't touch the bulb.

Dang that sucks using like the right kind of bulb and not the higher ones? My old civic was running the higher ones and no problems but they have exploded because the headlight was leaking water in soo bad.

Yea happened to me sunday, im in the process of fixing the damn thing right now[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG]

BTW anybody have a spare set of OEM headlight assemblys?

has anyone had a problem with there projector headlight bulbs blowing ,the projector light it self. one day ther fine ,the next they dont work.i have power to all wire to the harness so bulb must be problem.please tell me if this is comen in the first 2 months of use,also what is the bulb type so i can replace them if need be

what kind of projector housing is it. I bought tyc bloack projector housing around a week ago and the left low beam went out already. I called tyc and i am get a new pair, also because they have condensation in them.I have no luck with this crap. bulb should be H1
