SRS light questio..
Hey again,
I know, lots of messages from me lately, just got some spare time on my hands. Haha, time for research. Anyway, I had placed an aftermarket steering wheel in my car a few months ago and my SRS light is on. I know why it's on, but the question is, since I have not taken apart my cluster yet to check, can I take out the bulb (if there is one) or break the LED behind the SRS, or is it more complicated than that? I dont' remember what it looked like since I had done my indiglo guages a long time ago with a buddy of mine. He doesn't remember either cuz he works on so many cars anyway.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

i read a while back that people that have done the guage cluster swap, from dx to ex, had the problem of having the srs light stay on. One guy asked if he could just pull out the light bulb and someone said no because the light bulb is soldered on. You could probably break it off, or do what other people said, and just put a peice of black electrical tape over it
The SRS light came on when I had my seat out because the airbag sensor wire harness was unplugged and I never disconnected the battery. If you take it to Honda they can plug their "magic black box" into the car and shut it off for you, most of the time at no charge. Breaking the bulb off will probably lead into more problems.
