Weird Noise coming from outside?
after installing my HP headers, no Cat...
i noticed when im at idle, and when im turning left, i hear a loud squeaky, yet rattling noise
seems like its either coming from my neuspeed sport springs or my exhaust?
before installing the headers, i would hear this weird rattling noise when i turn left the first few times after starting the car, and it would go away.
after the headers were on, the rattling noise never stopped!! then noticing that it was very loud at idle, i realized it probably isnt my springs
and my mechanic that installs stuff on my car, said its probably my exhaust hitting some metal things under the car, cause of the headers?
what do you think it could be? what should i do? its annoying as cr@p!
help!

What your mechanic says sounds resonable. When the header was installed and cat removed, the piping could of been moved or tweeked, and now its rubbing of hitting something.

Hrmm I must of mis-understood then.. you say No Cat in the first sentence.
Probably best to take it back and see if he can locate the squeek. Or stick your head under the hood and listen for yourself. It could be related to the header install or just plain coincidence. I know that some headers require that you lift or trim the motor mount I think, perhaps its that. Could be a belt, or even power steering related.
In order to fix it your first going to have to find out where the problem lies...

yea, but the noise is coming from the back right of the car?
nothing under the engine is making any noise
i first thought the exhaust was hitting my rear bumper...but then i checked, and it wasnt, and it sounds like its metal hitting metal

Sounds like you need to take a closer listen under there. Could be that when your mechanic stuck the header on he moved the exhaust system enough to cause some type of rubbing or vibration. See if you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from..
