I have an '02 EX COUPE AUTO, and it makes a rattling noise at idle and low rpms. Sounds like a piece of ****. Car has only 1,200 miles, and bone stock. Anyway PESTNLC said theres a TSB on it, but its for the '01. I was wondering if any of you had this problem on an '02, and will the dealer do anything about it? The problem is described by the TSB as excessive end play in the camshaft. Honda must be stupid to release a car with a problem like that from the factory. Anyway, just wanted to find out if any of you had this same problem. Oh and does any of your engines kind of sputter right before it kicks over in the mornings? Would it hurt to add fuel injector cleaner to a new car? Thanks. [IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG]

The TSB may also apply to 02s...unfortunately, the only ones we have access to right now are some of the 01 TSBs.

My intake used to rattle against a metal piece until I put a cloth in between. I also have an engine rattle/growl but it's only when accelerating from 2500 to 3500rpms.

An easy way to figure out what is rattling when at idle is to have a friend sit in the car and switch gears while you press on things under the hood.

You can always take it to Honda, but they won't believe you or pretend like there is nothing wrong.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/IMG]

I took it to Honda today and they said that for this TSB to apply to my car, the engine check light has to come on. And its not on on my car. Im getting frusterated
