hi if a bulb consumes 90-100 watts would it melt the connector or harness. etc? and if so, how long till it starts melting and how much would it cost to get it replaced and installed?

Yes it will melt very quickly..less than a month maybe. Aftermarket wiring costs about $25-45. (www.autodynamic.com / ebay.com)

Get some light bulbs that will draw 55/60w... For instance PIAA's put out 110watts, but they only consume 55w.

i used 130 watts bulb couple month ago.
i've had them for 3 weeks and it blew off.
that was couple days after i cleared my headlight.
i knew it's gonna blow up soon so i was going to buy new bulbs.
anyways i had to unseal headlamp again.
and take out the little glasses all over inside of headlamp.
it's not good.

try using a vaccum. when i was clearing my friends headlights, a peice of cotton was stuck inside so we vaccumed it out... it should work for the bulb fragments too...
