2002 Headlights Position
2002 Headlights Position
Hi, I just purchased a 2002 LX Sedan last week. The headlights seem to be pointed toward the ground too much, as the illumination ends no more than 50 feet in front of the car. If I have about 5 car lengths between myself and the car in front of me, there is a black void for at least 1 to 2 car lengths. Basically, if an animal, human, or some type of debris was in the road, there is no way I'd be able to see it with enough time/distance to be able to avoid it safely. I called the dealership and they're pretty much acting as though this is normal, but I read that one should be able to see 300 feet in front of the vehicle if the headlights are aimed correctly. Has anyone else had this problem?

Thats a good question, I've thought the same thing but I thought it was because I was use to driving a truck. I don't think its that bad though, but I'll check the service manual tonight and find out what the specs are.

Someone said to take out the black rubber that covers the headlight, and there's a screw that needs adjustment. Play around with it until the lights point down.
