Are codes P0340 and P0341 the same?

Recently driving uphill and let the rpms get fairly high (5500-6000) when I felt a jolt or surge in power to say, kinder similar to the safe mode (limp home mode) the car will sometimes get. I got it home and hooked up a reader and got codes P0340 and P0341, I did read that both of these codes are related to the camshaft position sensor but my question is, are these codes separate issues or will replacing the sensor solve both codes? It’s the original engine to the car and has 276,XXX miles. When under slight acceleration from 2500-4000 rpm (because safe mode rev limiter) the car has a rattling noise, mostly noticeable near the valve train area, any ideas on what this could be?

Are codes P0340 and P0341 the same?
No.

One means no signal, the other means intermittent signal.

Well, technically it wouldn't be a short.

Tried my best at checking voltage on the harness plugging into the sensor. Tried all ports and none showed any voltage with key on, may be because I’m lacking the incorrect pins for testing but I used lighting ballast wire as my leads. The terminals on the harness look alright, no corrosion or visible cuts in the wires. Ran to auto store to hopefully find some leads and it started to sputter under light acceleration at a low rpm (~2200-2600).

Blew a fuse trying to use my homemade tester leads, I believe this is why I wasn’t finding any voltage on the terminals. Gonna wait to get the right leads then try again...although when I changed the fuse out and started the car it ran fine for a few minutes, had to shut off to go do something and when I tried starting the car again it won’t do anything but keep turning over, assuming the sensor or something else is completely shot now and causing a misfire?
