2013 Honda Civic Shakes Violently When Braking With Traction Control Is On

Any ideas?

When I turn my traction control off; However, the car runs smooth as butter.

When it’s on, the car violently shakes when slowing down or when applying the break. When I push down on the break, I can feel the rattle especially.

Any recent work done, shortly before this started happening?

Got ABS, VSA, and/or triangle warning lights on? Got fault codes?

Well, I bought the car as a salvage title. The front was moderately pushed in, but nothing reached the engine or anything else. I only had to replace the condenser and radiator; I made sure to plug back in all sensors. I drove the civic for 7 miles back home AFTER picking it up from the shop and it was fine. It wasnt until the day after when I tried driving when it started having the problem.

And I have absolutely no warning lights, VSA ABS or triangle warning.

But I havent plugged in a sensor to read any fault codes. I had a mechanic plug in a sensor but he didnt mention anything about any faulty codes but no, I myself have not plugged a scanner in since I dont have one.

Im not sure, I mean like I said, I drove the car before taking it to the shop, the problem only arose after. Perhaps they scammed me??? This came to mind when the problem came
up because I wasn’t sure if the mechanics may had done something purposesly but I just decided to throw that thought away.

but also, it wasnt a mechanic, it was just a body shop.

Well, I bought the car as a salvage title.
Hope you saved lots of money.....because it looks like you might be spending it now

but also, it wasnt a mechanic, it was just a body shop.
I'd say take it to a dealer who has some top gun troubleshooter tech who can really solve unusual problems....(on purpose)

Were any SRS components deployed in the crash? What's been replaced?
Any replacement Bearings/axles/wiring?

I'd suspect a bad encoder on a bearing, or a cluster sensor initialization problem, or the steering wheel position sensor isn't clocked correctly, something along those lines. I expect something is making ABS/VSA react incorrectly to braking efforts.
