Honda Civic Jerking Violently to right
Honda Civic Jerking Violently to right
So I bought a lowered 97' honda civic a couple weeks ago, It's very low on coilovers on stock shocks (I know, whoever i bought it from is an idiot and didn't do the suspension right) but anyway, The problem started today and I didn't have this issue before. My honda has always had a problem in which to drive completely straight; you have to have the steering wheel about 2 inches to the right. I realize it's a problem but it has yet to bother me. Either way, today I was driving on the highway going about 55 and i started to brake at a stoplight when suddenly my car started jerking VIOLENTLY to the right. I had to hold on very tight just so the car wouldnt jerk into the other lane. I also heard a sort of clanking sound. I pulled over and got out to check if I had a flat but it wasn't. I drove slow the rest of the way to work and the whole time the car was still jerking very aggressively to the right. I've done some research already. A lot of people think it's the alignment, ball joints, steering rack, or axle. Could also be tire rods. Anybody have some input? I'm gonna try fixing the cheapest things first but I will take to a mechanic if really necessary.
If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Sounds like something either moved, came apart, or is trying to come apart.
You can't fix it over the internet, you need to get under it and inspect, figure out what really happened.
