Cigarette lighter/charger suddenly not working
Hey all, new here & apologies if this has been covered before, but I tried searching the forums and couldn't seem to find any topics on as much:
So the cigarette charger/lighter port (I don't smoke, so really only use this part to charge things) on my 2004 Honda Civic sedan suddenly stopped working tonight out of nowhere. If anything, I may have pushed in my phone charger a little hard, and it didn't work afterwards. I tried the same charger in a different car afterwards, and it lit up briefly, then didn't work at all. I actually bought a brand new charger--hoping to troubleshoot-- and it worked in the other car; neither seem to work in mine.
So possibly something became shorted, or a wire became loose. I'm no mechanic, so I was hoping to take the vehicle in to my regular guy tomorrow ASAP to try to get this resolved/fixed (I'm a rideshare for Lyft/Uber who goes out driving for hours on end, so our work depends on keeping our phones-- and the apps on them-- charged and usable).
Just curious if any of you have had this problem, what it took to get it fixed, and what it cost.
Thanks!!

Re: Cigarette lighter/charger suddenly not working
You probably just blew the fuse. Look in the panel located on the drivers side under the steering column. I thing its labeled AUX but it might be called something different. Been a while since I looked in the fuse panel.

Before the dished out the center terminal in 06 a certain chargers center pin can short when inserted...... Yes, check the fuse. And also make nothing stayed inside the socket from the charger.
