Burning from Power Window Switch '02 LX
Burning from Power Window Switch '02 LX
On the way to school this morning I rolled down my passenger side window and when I arrived it wouldn't roll back up. I smelt a burning smell from the drivers side window switch. I checked the fuses, and the Passenger Power window fuse was blown, so I replaced it. Still smelling the burning smell, and the window will still not roll up. All the other windows work fine. I read somewhere that if this driver's side switch fails that the windows will not work at all, is it the switch on the drivers side that is bad?

Try to determine when fuse blows.
Ignition at II,...? or when attempting passenger window ?
The single window switches when at rest pass the +&- or -&+ from the master switch to the motors.

Re: Burning from Power Window Switch '02 LX
Update, I pulled the drivers side door off and clearly it was the power window switch that was causing the burning smell. Got the replacement part from NAPA, and I installed it and it fixed all issues.
