I have an 01 civic coupe and none of the buzzers work.

I have seen other similar threads but my car is different. The dome light doesn't work on "door" setting, with pass or driver door

Headlight/ignition buzzers never turn on, but dome light will turn on when switched to "on" setting.

Ive checked every fuse, and also the door jam sensors (youtube vid shows they fall out) mine are still in on both doors.

The "door ajar" light doesn't come up on dash when either door is open.

If someone could offer insight that would be awesome. It's a very annoying issue bc my battery died twice.

Power locks don't work either?
AC inoperative too?
Red brake light on the dash all the time?

AC will blow air, but not cold. Brake light has been on dash the entire time the problems have been around (forgot to mention)
Also, power locks stopped working

Is this the mcu?? (or whatever it is called)

Being an 01, there is a good chance it is.

Those are all classic symptoms.

First I've heard of the 01's mcu issues, i have heard 00-01 accords and civics all have bad (automatic) trannys. Any truth to this?

if so, i definitely will stay away from those years/models

More than just 01.
Search for the terms MICU or Multiplex instead of mcu.
