What color is your car? If its black with a Black interior it going to be warm for a while. My wife just bought a White CRV and if you park them side by side the CRV is about 15° cooler and the A/C gets colder faster. Just my 2¢

My a/c doesn't get that cold quick either. It eventually gets cold, but it takes awhile. I am getting ready to take it to the dealer...The day I bought it the air wasn't working, and the dealership fixed it and said that they had just forgotten to connect the part with the antifreeze...but I am begging to wonder...

The vic is my first dark colored car. I had 2 white ones before the vic. I have noticed the car to be hotter but it could very well be a mental thing.

I will say that the a/c does take a few minutes to get really cold, no doubt about it.

Well 2 things that I have talked to mechanics about. First, my dad had a 89 Ford truck. That stuff got really cold, really quick, reason being it was the old A/C system. Dont know if it is R-14 or R134, or something. Secondly, I asked my mechaninc, and he said the A/C is only supposed to get about 10-15 degrees colder than it is outside. So if its 80 outside, you car with A/C should be around 65-70. Kinda weird huh?

I put a thermometer in my Civics A/C Duct and it was blowing out at 63° but the inside of my car was still 85° inside after 5 minutes. My wifes 03 CRV which is white also blows out at 63° but it was 78° inside after 5 minutes. Black cars with Black interiors take forever to cool down. The first thing a A/C tech will do is put a Thermometer in the A/C Ducts and see how cold it is before he ever slaps on a set of Gauges.
Just my 3½¢ worth.
