01 civic with 04 trans fluid question

Maybe a silly question, but I am going to change the fluid on my 2001 civic, but I replaced the transmission with a 2004. Is the process and fluid type and capacity still the same?

Auto or manual!?

Probably the same fluid (between 2001 and 2004), just go to the dealership and tell them what you have.

Get the darn OEM fluid... I don't even think there is a huge markup on it anyway and even if there is, it is probably worth it.

You will have to get DW1 now.

Same drain plug location.
