D17 Oil Gremlin
So I have owned my 05 EX for about 2 months, since purchase I hadn't changed the oil but always checked the level once a week just to keep tabs cause I'm OCD like that, and it was always perfect. 2-3 weeks ago I changed my oil and about 3 days ago I checked it and the dipstick was bone dry. I magically lost 2 quarts, I added 2 more and in 2 days it lost another 1/2 of a quart. Its not smoking, there are no leaks, I went under the car to check the plug and filter both were snug, inspected the block visually no leaks, no leaks under the car in my garage, and just today I did a compression test and here are the results:
D is dry test W is wet test
CYL 1 D 180 W 220
CYL 2 D 180 W 220
CYL 3 D 180 W 210
CYL 4 D 190 W 220
Completely perfect on compression. Each cylinder would hold that too for a couple mins till I released the air. I am completely lost on where my oil is going. Some people have said well it has to be burning it, there is no smoke, besides I've seen what burning oil looks like, I had a friend in college accidentally line up all the ring gaps on 1 cylinder in his 240 and it was like a freaking fog machine, our whole college shop was completely filled with smoke it was ridiculous so my car is not burning it.
Any ideas?

It's leaking somewhere you're not looking or it's burning it..period. Just because you don't see smoke coming out the tail pipe doesn't mean you're not burning it.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Compression looks fine, but that test cannot evaluate the oil control rings.
A hot cat can hide a LOT of smoke.
Most people would never notice a blue haze in the rear view mirror.
You almost have to follow your own car down the road while someone flogs the hell out of it in front of you.
What oil did you put in it?
What oil WAS in it when you bought it?
Keep in mind: Someone could have dumped in some snake oil so any potential buyer wouldn't notice a problem for a while.
Oh wait, my bad! ALL car sellers are totally honest!

Well so far I have put a new PCV valve in, changed the oil to 5w-30 Valvoline Max Life and it's still burning it. today I put a quart of Marvel's Mystery Oil to try and see if that'll unstick the rings. After that if it doesn't work its on to HMO to buy a new engine.
