Need some quick help!
Hi everyone ! I have a honda civic 01 5 speed with a 1.7 ltr engine as I was running a power wire through the firewall I notice a metal pipe coming out of my transmission which was unusually clean at the top I am not a expert on cars but it was obvious that something was there. So I looked for a loose pipe that might of been there and didn't find anything. Could someone please help me out with what went there ? I know it may be a stupid question to ask but it is bothering me and I'm nervous to drive the car because I don't want to lose all my fluid an end up breaking something becasue of it. Please get back to me quick and thank you a lot for your time and help. I'll upload a picture of the metal pipe also

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

That's a vent tube
There should be a little rubber nipple that sat on top of it to keep dirt and water from falling in. .
Nipple is a short rubber tube about 10mm diameter x about 10mm tall, one wide hole on one end.
Look around on top of the trans and on your floor.
