Hot headlight

Hot headlight

i putted my hand in the front headlights and realized they are very very hot...i am using Showoff Krypton 4300K bulbs
is it very bad for the entire headlight unit? would it melt something???

They only way i'd alter my lights is get a real HID kit, which has the diffusor... those xenon bulbs and the ones that mimic HID use more power to get brighter light and heat up more.... although there are some bulbs which are certifed and DOT approved for brighter light...

Just my 2 cents

They are heating up because of the lights you have in there I'm suprised part of the headlight hasn't started to burn as well. If you want that to go away replace the OEM bulbs.

Well I have the Xtreme PIAA in there the low end one not the high watts ones and never had a issue. Its been 10,000 miles with those now.

i think some people have had their headlight housings melt from the higher wattage bulbs, if they are getting hot, you might want to switch back to lower wattage bulbs

Did I not say that already in almost the exact same words?
