I have a 2001 civic coupe. Manual trans. It has 141k on it. About 6 months ago it has started ticking under load. Mostly on cold start and here and there if I need to speed up afterslowing way down. I just had the valves adjusted yesterday and it has made zero difference. Im hoping its not a rod knock. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!! Thanks.

sometimes ticking under load/acceleration can be cause by an exhaust leak close to the engine, i would remove the heat shield from the manifold and check for a leak around the header/cat area, also look for cracks in the header
