Possible to use key to unlock 2003 EX sedan with keyless entry?
Hi all,
Ever since I've owned my 2003 Honda Civic EX 4 door Manual Transmission, I always wondered If i could unlock the car without using the keyless entry system and instead use the master key to unlock the car? When I bought the car from the third owner he did not have the valet keys in hand the car only came with one master key and the keyless entry fob that's it. My keyless entry system and fob are just working fine but I am curious to see if its possible to use the master key its self to unlock the car?
Much help Appreciated,
Kevin

You should try it yourself and find out.
If the fob is stock Honda, then yes.
If the fob is for aftermarket alarm, then it's anybodys guess.

wonder why people takes the time to start computer, open internet, log in, to ask a question that would be answered way faster by going to the car and trying...
of course, there are the cars that does not have a place for the keys in the door, but they are rare and in-between... If opening a door with the key was not possible, why would the doors still have the place to insert the key anyway?!?

Hi, sorry for the misunderstanding since I live on Hawaii I live on the Island of Maui and the car is on a different island and that's Oahu therefore I cant test it at the moment so that's why I am asking ahead of time so the next time I go I will know what to expect

You should be able to lock all the doors with the key also. Turn the key to the left in the drivers door and it will lock all the doors (at least mine does).
