quick question, driver's side inside door handle...

... hi, please point me in the right direction, inside door handle is pulled out, won't open door but outside handle will. Clip and rod inside look fine.

Thanks, churchie

So even if you pull the inside rod forward by hand you still can't open the door with it?

I'd pull the door panel off and make sure the linkages (rod) are free, not caught in vapor barrier sticky goo...and is still mounted in the guide clip.

then maybe I'd vote for a bad latch.

Re: quick question, driver's side inside door handle...

Just tried, if I pull the driver's side rod forward (towards windshield) I get nothing.

I tried it out on the passenger side for comparison - presto tugging the rod forward opens door no problem.

Thank you, I'll follow your other suggestions.

p.s. If there is a another useful post please send me the link. I tried the search engine before posting, but an exact phrase feature doesn't appear to be available.

Here's one for replacing the window regulator that covers getting the door panel off.

Here's one that covers the latch and power lock actuator.

Use a hand impact driver to get the big phillips screws loose in the back edge of the door.
