Im having trouble getting pressure back in my clutch pedal. I have replaced the master cylinder and the slave cylinder and I have bled it complety through the line. Fluid will go down the line but I still have no pressure in my pedal. Help please.

Re: clutch pedal has no resistance

Here is what worked for me. I bled with a jar and some tubing for an hour. Then I bought a vacuum bleeder. I have a good size compressor and I bought the pneumatic bleeder (item 92924 -search it on Harbor Frieght's website). Best $28 I have spent in a while. It bled out the remaining air in about 30 seconds. NOTE: I did have a helper gently move the clutch pedal up and down while I squeezed the trigger on the bleeder. Clutch working great now, good pedal pressure, no squeaks.
The clutch line is long and there are lots of places for air to hide in it. Getting it out should solve your problem. If you don't have a compressor that can handle 90-120 psi, get the hand pump vacuum bleeder, Mity something brand.

MityVac. Mind you it only pulls about 25 in/Hg at a time, so while it's a helluva lot better than manually... it's no match for a Vacula. I'd spend the extra dosh for a metal MV, much sturdier.

Re: clutch pedal has no resistance

First no clutch, now no brakes? What the hell happened to cause all this?

If the pedal is still too low, there's air trapped in the high spots.
Keep bleeding the clutch...I guess.

Did you bench bleed the master before you bolted it into the car?

The only clutch adjustment is on the pushrod and clevis at the top of the pedal. There is supposed to be just enough clearance for the pedal to have about 1/2 inch of free play +/- 1/4 inch. (actual spec is 8-18mm)

I pulled the motor and transmission to rebuild them. Replaced everything under warrenty. No I didnt bench bleed the master I just bolted it on. I will say that when I bled the clutch it was a steady stream coming from the bleeder valve.

Re: clutch pedal has no resistance

Air hides in the high spots and tries to stay there. It can be quite difficult to get it out.
