02 civic driver power door lock

02 civic drivers power door quit working, so I replaced aculator. That wasn't problem . Not getting power to aculator . Hooked new and old aculator up to 12 volt battery both work the way they should. Any ideas where I should start looking for bad wire or weird placed fuse. Checked out all fuses everything looks good. Any help would be great , or could I just replace with some sort of bypass wiring..

Re: 02 civic driver power door lock

2 or 4 door car?
Got keyless entry?
Do the other power locks work as they should?

The actuator has to have both power and ground in order to operate.
Power and ground are swapped to make the actuator run the opposite direction (lock -> unlock).

Check both of the wires at that actuator for both 12v and ground when you operate the power lock button each direction, see you have a problem with just one wire or both. Note wire colors of which one has the problem.

Yellow/Green wire is the one that doesn't work in the drivers door?
Next I'd find the same wire at the MICU and check that for continuity, make sure it isn't broken in the door jamb or something.

Repeat power/ground checks at M9 terminal at the MICU.

Re: 02 civic driver power door lock

Sorry more info. No keyless entry 4 door and other 3 doors to work. Didn't spend much time chasing wires, but remember yellow green wire and yellow black were the wires I checked . Aculator has two terminals thought top was was for other doors when grounded out circuit other doors activate. Should terminal be hot(always on) at aculator . Plan on checking wiring at door jam or should I start at micu M9??

Aculator
Actuator.

has two terminals
Right. Concentrate on those.
YEL/BLK
YEL/GRN
Colors stay the same for those 2 wires all throughout the harnesses.

thought top was was for other doors when grounded out circuit other doors activate.
The 3 wire connector is for a set of switches inside the actuator. They will operate the power locks too.

Should terminal be hot(always on) at aculator .
No.
Power is only supplied when an actuator is supposed to run, IIRC

IIRC both wires to each actuator are always grounded until the actuator is supposed to run.
If it needs to lock, power is supplied to one of the wires, while the other remains grounded.
If it needs to unlock, power is supplied to the other wire, while the first remains grounded..
Plan on checking wiring at door jam or should I start at micu M9??
Since the drivers lock motor is controlled independently from the other 3, from within the MICU, and there isn't really a big problem with jamb wiring on 7th gen drivers doors (from what I've seen here).....I kinda suspect this might be an MICU problem.

I'd probably start checks at the door harness connector under the corner of the dash, it's gonna be a lot easier to reach than the connectors for the MICU.
THEN go to the MICU. (You have to get to the connectors on the backside of the fusebox to check there.)
