New Alternator and Battery...Car still having problems

I have a 2001 Civic Ex. 4 door sedan. My car was having alternator and battery problems, so in the past month I have gotten a new remanufactured alternator and new battery put into the car. Everything was going good for about 3 weeks, until today. I tried to start the car and NOTHING happened. There was no click, no nothing! I tried jumping the battery but still nothing turned on. None of the the lights turn on, and even the car remote does nothing. What do I do?!
A little extra info, the last week or so I could smell a burning smell coming from the vents, but it would go away as I drove more. It makes me think it could be a wiring problem or I've blown a fuse. Please help me out because I need to figure out what to do next.

Re: New Alternator and Battery...Car still having problems

First thing I would check is battery 80 amp fuse under the hood.
Then I would check the alternator fuse under the dash.

If those two are fine, I would look into possible burn marks under the hood to see if you have a shorting problem.
If you can't find the source, I'd have your starter checked.

Check: No horn? No hazard lights? No brake lights? (If the 80A fuse was blown, those 3 items should still work.)

Lost connection to the battery, either power or ground. Could be anywhere along the battery cables, or
You have no power reaching the engine compartment fusebox.
Inspect/test battery and cables.
Follow positive cable from battery to fusebox, inspect.
