HELP: weird vibration at cruising speeds
HELP: weird vibration at cruising speeds
Hi everyone,
I am new here, just recently bought a used 2003 Honda Civic Coupe for the winter months.
The car runs great except for the fact that when I am cruising going around 60km/hr(40MPH) at around 1500-2000rpm there would be a loud vibration noise which causes the steering wheel to vibrate. Also, the rpm meter jumps up and down a bit at that rpm range. The vibration would go away when i let go of the throttle or step hard on the throttle to pass 2000rpm. The previous owner said the car needs alignment, so I did but the vibration is still there.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

Re: HELP: weird vibration at cruising speeds
The suspension should be evaluated for any worn parts, also your tires checked to make sure they are balanced. Easy way to check the tires is to swap the front and back tires. Motor mount could also have worn and should be checked.
