central locking problem
central locking problem
Hi all my central locking has started playing up. First the rear drivers side lock would occasionally would not work then it became more regular. Then it the passenger side rear door start playing up. Eventually the locks stopped working all together. Then it became the same issue on the passenger door and now the drivers door is playing up.
Is the mechanism that does the locking need replacing or are they just requiring a bit of lubrication as the issue is now affecting the drivers door it is very frustrating. I am hoping there is a simple solution to this
Thanks

Re: central locking problem
Need to remove the door panels and test the switch to see if that is working properly. If the switch is working then you to check for lose connections in the wires. I doubt all the locks went bad at the same time but they could be getting lazy and slow.

Re: central locking problem
If you have keyless (EX) watch the lock **** on drivers door when you single press remote for the very 1st time after setting overnight. It should move quickly up, if it is slow/sluggish it is a sign of failing actuator.
