Rep Power: 0 Cold Start Ok, Warm Start not ok.
Hello There,
I have a Honda Civic 2001 LX Sedan and a new battery. For the past several months, when I start the car in the morning when the engine is cold, it starts up ok and normal.
If I drive and make a stop and get gas, restarting it having a hard time and longer time when turning the key.
It seems to be "choking" when trying to run it again when the engine has warmed up.
But every morning, it starts fast and normal.
What could be the issue for this instance?
I would appreciate any feedback and comments.
Thanks,
JDawg

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Check engine light on? What is the code?

poor ground connections can cause this,
check battery terminals, ground points to frame, ground points to engine, and the ground strap from the engine to frame, clean all connections, make sure they are free of corrosion and rust, replace the wires and straps if they are corroded badly

Mine was doing same. In the end it was an intermittent TDC sensor which was faulty sometimes after stop and heat soaked or on really hot days.
Replaced with new Honda sensor which was a different p/n and no problems since.
