So the cold start is perfectly fine but if I go put gas to where I have to turn off the car, it won’t start again for another hour or two. Why is this? I was told it might be my fuel pressure regulator?? On that note I don’t even know where the fuel pressure is located??

What does it do when you try to start it?

it starts up perfectly fine, no noises or anything on cold start.
2nd start, it starts with crank, I know it’s not the battery or alternator because I just replaced them.

A little confused by your wording in this. Are you saying this happens only when you stop at a gas station, fill the tank and try to start the engine again?
Or are you saying this happens every time after car reaches operating temp?

I had a 2007 Mazda 3 that would not start well only after filling the tank with gas and it turn out to be caused by the purge solenoid valve (common issue with this Mazda 3 generation): https://www.mazda3forums.com/122-sto...s-fill-up.html I do not know if the purge valve has ever been an issue for Civic engines.

well just anywhere, like if I made a quick run to the store and came back out and tried to leave it wouldn’t turn back on for like an hour or two..

Got a scanner with live data? One of the temp sensors may be giving a false reading

Going back to the initial prognosis of fuel related... IIRC, the FPR is integrated into the pump on a 7thgen. I never had that problem, so to the google machine I ran. Lots of sources state fuel issues, so the FPR wouldn't be a bad place to start. Could be fouled injectors, too. My ex's godfather (taught at University Technical Institute -- That auto school you see commercials for when watching car shows), and he swears by B12 fuel system cleaner. At $6 a bottle, wouldn't be a bad experiment. I tried a few bottles of it in my 2002. Got better fuel economy after a couple treatments with no changes in fuel type/driving style. I'll keep looking into the issue tho

wow really? I’ve seen that the FPR is integrated into the fuel pump but never found a solid answer. But I’ll definitely look into buying those bottles.. sounds like you had some success with it

Mine was doing same. In the end it was an intermittent TDC sensor which was faulty sometimes after stop and heat soaked or on really hot days.
Replaced with new Honda sensor which was a different p/n and no problems since.
