01 civic ex weird probs please help!

Hey guys I'm a little new to the forum I came here in hope of some answers I have 01 ex and I think I'm having a computer problem so I've been told the cars timing belt and sensors were done recently hopefully this has nothing to do with my issue
So the started with a battery light I checked the battery and charging system everything checked out then the next couple drives I got a check engine light for a split second the fuel pump relay would click and a cel would appear this happened for two days and then my tachometer and engine temperature gauge stop working while the rest of the cluster works for fuel and mph which was weird and also had the key light flashing
I tried to read a code and I get no communication to the computer so I took it to a mechanic and he installed a new computer and same problems happen please help if this has happened to you

Alternator bolts were probably left loose when the timing belt was done. This caused a lack of grounding for the alt and excessively high voltage as a result. This burns out the PCM.

Now the next PCM is burned up (again) because the original problem wasn't found and fixed.

If the alternator bolts aren't loose, then carefully inspect both of the ground straps on the engine and transmission. Same situation.

Do a search on this site for 'loose alternator bolts' and start reading.

No way the weird part is when I brought the car back I looked at the alternator and saw the loose bolt it was almost fully out but I thought nothing of it that sounds like it my problem rite there but if I just tighten up the bolt the PCM should go back to normal ? Or would I have to get a new one ?

Tighten the alt. bolts properly.
Pray to the deity of your choosing.
Start it up and see what happens.

If it all works again, then you must have been doing that "good clean living" I hear about. You got lucky. Drive happy.

If it is still all screwed up and acting wrong.....then...well...I already told you the PCM was burned out, so you can expect that.
