car won't start problem
car won't start problem
hi, I recently changed my timing belt and as I removed the alternator the bolt to the positive terminal broke leaving the other half inside. I tried using a larger bolt to temperarly get a positive connection, which worked, but not every time would I have contact.
When I crank the key, the engine turns but does not stay on. Could the positive connection on the alternator cause this (no contact)? We're out to buy a new alternator at the moment...
sometimes, the car would start but not every single time. Also, when it would start, the battery lights would turn on when I accelerate.
i was wondering if it could be an alternator problem
