Rep Power: 0 Dash screw problem - just turning?
Hi all,
My wife's got a manual 2003 civic and i'm trying to swap out the stereo for one with MP3 capability.
I've pulled off the lower bit round the gear lever to expose the 2 screws, however, when i try and undo the screws they just turn and turn...
Is this a common problem?
Anyone got any ideas on how to get them out?
Thanks,
Dez

yeah ive had it happen. there are metal inserts for the screw to hold onto and usually they dont last long. i recently replaced mine and usually you can get the screws out by pushing up on them from the bottom while turning the screw.

Cheers mate, sorry for the daft question, but did you mean push up on the thing the screw goes through, or push up on the actual screw itself?
Thanks,
Dez
