Front wheel bearing/rear knocking issues

Hey guys, this weekend I replaced the front driver-side wheel bearing. Everything went on good. There was a grinding and groaning noise coming from the front. Bent the dust shield, never solved anything. Now the grinding noise is gone, but the wheel is kind of loose, so to speak, like it would be a bad wheel bearing. It makes no sounds and rolls over smooth. I am guessing it could be the axle nut not tightened enough. What could be the issue here?

Also, in the rear end, driver side, there's a shuttering/clunking sound, only started today. The struts are fine, I'm thinking the sway bar links? If anyone can help me it would be a great help. 2004 Civic sedan, btw.

Don't drive it if the front wheel seems loose. I'd start by checking the axle nut yes. Then check the bolts on the lower portion of the strut assembly followed by the nut on the ball joint. If it's none of those check the balljoint itself, followed by the tie rod end and lower control arm bushing.

Re: Front wheel bearing/rear knocking issues

Thanks, I think it may be the axle nut needing to be torqued after further inspection. No play in the new wheel bearing, ball joint was also replaced. Tie rods, bushings, and all bolts are tight. I didn't have a torque wrench when this was installed but have gotten one. I did do a bit more research, and tightening the axle nut to proper torque helps seat the bearing, apparently. Is 150ft lb's of torque the proper specs?

150 I think is a little high. I can't remember off the top of my head but it's around 126 ft/lbs.
