I live in Toronto, Ontario.

I installed HID Fogs and Headlights and have lost the abilitiy to use my Daytime Running Lights.

Are the Daytime Running Lights checked during the emissions test?

- I did some research - it will not pass emissions, so how do we pass emissions without the DRL which are eliminiated after an HID install?

You can make your own daytime running light circuit with a 12v relay. I wouldn't think it had to be a stock setup in order to pass.

i had an aftermarket system installed when i moved from us to canada (US car, so no DRL's).
anything that lights them when the engine is running is good.
be careful, don't use the high beams - DRL's are set to half power, but if your system does not dim the power, they will just blind other driver's. Use the fogs or the parking lights - mine passed in quebec with the parking lights only, though i had only a year to stay in canada.
