01 Civic 1.7 Rattle from alternator cable!? FIX?? HELP!
01 Civic 1.7 Rattle from alternator cable!? FIX?? HELP!
Have a 2001 Honda Civic with 1.7 VTEC engine. There is a LOUD rattle from the engine compartment. At first I thought it was a exhaust heat shield. If I wiggle the alternator cable where it attaches/clips onto the metal bracket, the noise goes away or gets louder. If I hold it I can make it go away. Has anyone heard of the alternator cable causing such a noise and does anyone know how to fix it. I can't get it to go away. It's driving me crazy! Thanks!

its possible, since the cables have a hard plastic sleeve over them. have you tried a few zipties to hold it in place?
