04 Civic EX CEL P0135 and P0134

EX Automatic (1.7 VTEC) had CEL of P0134 Bank1 Sensor 1. I tested the whte and green plug lead (heater) and was extremely his resistance. I changed for a $ 70 OEM Denso.

Now I get P0135 O2 Circuit not Active Bank 1. Could it be the wrong O2 sensor or a bad one out of the box ?

If it was $70 then you got the narrow band sensor for the '01-'02. You need the wide band sensor for the '03-'05. The wide band sensor is like $200.

Many thanks. My initial calls around had delaer # $ 376.00 and the NAPA stores at $ 276.00. I went to a local NAPA warehouse and as the guys was checking he said "oh your OEM Denso is $ 70.00" which I thought strange.

I will be calling them tomorrow.

Back from travelling and removed the $ 70.00 O2 sensor (NAPA sold me the one for VTEC-E engine). New one was $ 298.00 Installed and cleared codes.

234-9017 is correct -- I have it in my own '04 EX 5-spd, and it cleared the code fine. I got mine for $145 from Amazon.
