Keyless Entry Problem
Keyless Entry Problem
I installed Projector headlights and fog lights last weekend and blew a headlight fuse in the process. And now, ever since then my keyless entry has stopped working. I searched the forum and tried everything that was mentioned in old threads such as... re programing the remote, changing the back up fuse under the hood, and changing the remote battery. Its not the locks themselves because they still work from inside the door, the one thing I haven't eliminated is that I might have messed something up behind or around the cd player when I was wiring the fog lights.
I'm driving a 2002 civic si coupe, the canadian version which is basically the same as the american ex coupe
Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Keyless Entry Problem
I figured out what the problem was, for anyone who might have the same problem there's a green plug behind the cd player that looks just like the one that plugs into the fog light switch. A friend of a friend of mine that came over and apparently knew what he was doing (worked part time at a truck customizing shop) unplugged it and plugged it into the switch and gave it power. That green plug was plugged into the keyless entry transmitter and when I realized this it was only a matter of plugging it back in and everything was back to normal, and the keyless entry worked.
