02 Civic dash board problems on start up

02 Civic dash board problems on start up
This issue happens sometimes.
On start up all the dash lights stay off, including odemeter. I notice that the battery light flickers, and then disappears...but the parking brake light stays on.
Car drives fine, radio is on but the dash cluster is dead except for the parking brake which stays on, like I said. I tried google but havn't found anything yet.
This only happens sometimes. Sometimes I start the car up and everything is fine.
Any ideas?
