Smile Recommend me an Air Intake and Halo Projection Headlights

I'm thinking of installing an aftermarket Air Intake to replace the black box inside my engine compartment. Just by looking at it I can tell that the air is very restricted.

One question I have about the air intake is would it damage my engine?
I ride a 2004 EM2 EX.

About the halo projection headlights, would these do?

Thanks!

Re: Recommend me an Air Intake and Halo Projection Headlights

Hi,

I have a 2005 EM2 EX SE.

I switched from the factory air intake to the AEM V2 Air Intake. It has been installed since Sept 2007 (almost 4 years). I like the way it sounds!

I don't believe it would cause any problems to your engine as long as you keep the air filter clean. It's a Dry Flow air filter so you purchase cleaning solution and wash it, let it dry, and then put it back on. I recently bought a 2nd filter so I don't have to wait while cleaning the other.

Re: Recommend me an Air Intake and Halo Projection Headlights

the only damage possible are bad installation, bad filter. Need use AEM or H&N - no experience with the latter) or driving in a flood with a CAI.
if you live in a watery part of the country, SRI, not CAI.

The only thing required is filter. all else could be any brand.

Most recent among thousands of threads on air intakes:

Most projector light output sucks. look for mini retrofit instead.

Projector lights - there are about thousands of threads created about the same, so recommend searching.

stick with aem because they come with dryflow air filters which will protect the engine much better from dirt.

Thanks for clearing up the engine problem question. So, is this the intake?

$1300!?

I saw some K&N's for $200 from AutoZone, are those any good?

How much HP am I to gain with a V2 compared to a K&N? I've read K&N is about 5HP at 5.2k RPM.

My EM2 EX SE is running on an Auto Tranny, would the V2 still be compatible?

As for Projector Headlights, I was looking at these, what do you guys think?:

lol that has to be a typo or look elsewhere. aem v2 is at most $300, usually cheaper. and yes it works with autos and its better than K&N. the headlights look pretty good but i bet ebay has it cheaper. yup they do
