oklakers is an unknown quantity at this point
High temp gauge.

Our '03' civic appears to be overheating according to the temp gauge, it fluctuates from hot to cold. The motor itself does not seem hot and there's lots of coolant. The heater even blows cool air when this occurs.
Would it be a thermostat, sensor ??? Any suggestions?

Re: High temp gauge.

You have air in the coolant system. Start by bleeding the air out. If that does not work replace your thermostat and rad cap. If that does not work get a shop to do a pressure test to check for leaks. If they can't find any leaks its probably your head gasket or water pump

Re: High temp gauge.

it's psychosomatic, this is a 9th gen 2012 civic forum, as informed in the description of the forum "In 2012 Honda released it's 9th Generation Civic. (Its not out yet!- Don't post in here!)" - they are not out yet, so you actually do not have the car, you are dreaming.

yours is a 7th gen, so please post there.

Re: High temp gauge.

Hmm, this does seem to be happening more and more often ... Unfortunatly my mod powers do not extend this far so I can't move it. I do however hope you can get your overheating issues resolved!
