Timing Belt timing problem

Ok I was one of the idiots who didn't set TDC prior to belt removal. Reddawnman said to use a straightened coat hanger to even out the pistons, which I did and it left my crank pulley at the 5 o'clock position.

Do I then put the crank back at TDC? Which means the pistons won't be even anymore.

After putting the belt back on, how hard should it be to rotate the camshaft counter clockwise 2 times. I'm having to force it a lot. And the damn thing gets stuck sometimes before I can finish 2 revolutions. WTH am I doing wrong.

Re: Timing Belt timing problem

ignore this thread, already fixed it.

But if you'd like to help out with this new problem I got, be my quest

So after putting everything back together and having the timing right and the car finally starting. After 20 seconds or so the car starts to smoke right where at the Valve cover seal and it smokes at the heat guard of the head. Smells like something is burning, like wood is burning almost, light odor. I have new oil in it.

Any ideas?
