shifting isn't smooth anymore...
I don't know if it's a problem or what but since i got back from my vacation, shifiting between gears hasnt been smooth, thers a bit of a clunk into every gear, i'm wondering what the problem is...wouldnt be the clutch would it?
Re: shifting isn't smooth anymore...
I highly doubt it is your clutch. The only way it would be your clutch is if your throw out bearing is bad and not stopping the clutch/flywheel.
What you need to do is change the transmission fluid with honda mtf. this should help it out.

I was gonna say mounts, but it could be the fluid from sitting for a while? My car made a clunk when I shifted but it turned out to be a bad mount in that case.
Re: shifting isn't smooth anymore...
Yeah the tranny fluid is pretty new, got it replaced like a year ago, and for manual transmissions its like once every 5 years or something. Could be just the cold weather maybe? I guess we'll see. For now its fine I guess.

Its really hard for shifter bushings to go bad... people just upgrade them to aluminum to give a tighter feeling, but it really doesnt improve feel very much.
Re: shifting isn't smooth anymore...
Transmission fluid takes a while to warm up. When was the last time you changed it? Even here in NY at this time of year, I haven't really noticed any rough shifting though. Then again, I shift a little earlier when first driving, so that might be why

use a full synthetic like amsoil, it works better when very cold. the regular stuff needs to warm up before you will get smooth shifts.
