Exclamation door stuck

hi, i have a 2005 honda civic 4 door, and the rear driver side door is jammed, it wont unlock with the remote i have ried forcing it to unlock with my hand but did not work, i have told it could be the actuator that was jammed and was quoted $65 for the part and $228 for labour, so i was wondering if i could do it myself

any ideas would be appreciated

if its not the actuator then it wont cost that much could just be corrosion on your wires to that door from water. You could take the door panel off and see what you find it might be something easy as its just jammed on something

I say take the panel off and take a look it could be something very simple. It's worth a look.

I would certainly inspect it 1st before ordering anything... but !

You will have a hard time getting the panel off if you cannot open it.

You can try taking off the handle screws, take out the plastic handle, and try to pull the rod behind it, see if that opens it
