100-300 idol!?

i have recently done an engine swap on my car with just another stock d17a2 and i have noticed that this new engine is idling at 100-300 rpm. i have cleaned out the TB and IAC, new sparkplugs, brandnew fuelpump and i have tried to do an idol learn 2 times now. does anyone have a clue why its idling that low and could it cause any damage to my engine if its left like this.

Thanks for you help.

-check for DTCs
-ignition timing
-spark plugs
-air cleaner
-PCV system

Start the engine. Run it at 3000rpm without load until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle. Disconnect the IAC connector. Did engine speed increase or fluctuate?

Just walking ya thru the procedure. I'm reading the service manual.

When you disconnect the IAC (while it's running) and the engine speed doesn't change you have a bad IAC.

How well did the rotor look in the IACV. The iacv rotor might be bad meaning you might need another one. Could also maybe the TBS or vacuum leak somewhere.

From the service manual: When you disconnect the IAC (while it's running) and the engine speed doesn't change you have a bad IAC.

The valve may look good but be bad. Check the right way.

Yes, it could be the TBS or a vacuum leak but, check the IAC first.
