Removing center console on '03 Civic EX!?

I'm talking about the part with the armrest that goes up and you can put things in.. not the part you put the head unit in.
Anyways I dropped some stuff down there, and I also wanna do an ebrake adjustment while i'm at it, but I just can't get the dumb thing off... I removed the 2 clips in the very front by the front cup holder, the 2 screws in the middle before the liftable armrest, and the 4 screws by the rear cup holder, but when I pull up it won't come out, I've been at it for like 45min but the dumb thing won't come out, am I missing something that I don't get?

it feels like its being held down by something in the back by the rear cup holder, but I don't see any screws or clips aside from the 4 ones on the side..

that 1st DIY was what I initially used to try and get it off, and did everything in there and it wouldn't lift up where the rear cup holder is, I looked over the other one and it still has the same instructions pretty much, the design on mines a bit different since it has the storage spot under the armrest, and I feel like i'm missing something really obvious

is there a set of screws in the bottom of the storage thing? I am not familiar with that setup.

Under your e-brake handle (on the top of the console), is there a small-ish tab to pry up? I've seen it before where there is a small area there with a screw underneath the tab.

Otherwise, there definitely should be a screw inside the armrest storage area, on the bottom. Maybe covered up with a small tab, so that it's not immediately visible?
