Can you drop a D17A2 into a HX (D17A6) without any other hardware or tomfoolery?
Can you drop a D17A2 into a HX (D17A6) without any other hardware or tomfoolery?
I've got an HX that is knocking like its going out of style right now. A couple local places have D17A2s in plentiful stock, and my options for a D17A6 aren't as good. As a bonus the D17A2 has more power, if even a little bit.
I'm wondering if dropping in the A2 is going to be ANY different than dropping in the A6.
If anyone has done this before and knows please let me know, it would be appreciated. I'm having a local forum member on another board do the swap and I don't want him to have to dick around with anything. I want him to be able to pull out the A6 and drop the A2 right into place and fire it up.
Any help would be appreciated.
