Rep Power: 0 dead speedometer, battery light(new battery) cel
Alright so yesterday I put a new aftermarket exhaust on my car as I've done a few times. It's been driving fine and nothing wrong up until today when I was driving on the highway. My CEL, Battery light came on and my speedometer died all at the same time. This is unusual because I've done nothing electrical with my car and that seems to be the problem that's happening. If anyone has any idea why it would do this please inform me. thanks guys.

check to see if your battery clamps are tight and your ground wires are tight and not corroded. alternator may have died also and drained the battery causing the car to shut down. check your battery voltage with a multimeter. with car off, should be around 12.6v and with car on, 14.2v but also get it load tested at an auto parts store to be sure. most place will check the batt and alt for free.

I tried seeing what code came up with a code reader, but the code reader has no power goiong to it?? Im kind of banging my head. Im pretty sure I have a bad alternator, but is it possible I fried my ECU as well?
