Summer Project: Questions for the experienced.

I've got an 03 coupe and i'm looking to do a minor n/a 'build' for something to do this summer. I've got my heart set for sure on D17a2 head, a crower stage one cam and all the standard i/h/e. I was wondering what else I could throw on? I've got about another $400 in my budget.

Also while reading about the crowers many have been saying they need tuning. For something like that do I have to buy some sort of separate engine management or do I just take it to a shop and they do it all from there?

to the Moderator, can i ask one thing? - bump to DIY/Tech forums?
after that, i guess the question would be what do you want to do with your car? Street driving? racing and autoX does not seem to be your thing, from your previous posts, so compliant suspension with powerful engine? (just asking for what you looking for, not what i think is good - this last portion is more to the other forum guys, not OP...)

Yeah, suspension is already picked out and I should be ordering it around the middle of next month. I'm just looking for a daily driver that's got some response and zip to it. Fun is the name of the game. I already know I'm not getting any sports car with my n/a D17 in there.

uhn, let's try something different - if you can, delete this one a repost on the DIY/tech forum, it's on the general portion of the site. this forum here is for mechanical problems, vehicle issues and fix-it, so not all the guys will come here. let them also know that you have a suspension too

EMS I would guess is a yes. your changing the VE of your head in so many ways. Your end up leaning out if anything so fuel tuning will be a must.
