lots of road noise
lots of road noise
'99 Civic 176K
I replaced the right-rear hub-bearing assembly and the noise was cut by half. Before, we had to speak very loudly to talk to someone in the back seat. However, there is still a lot of noise. I own 2 other Civics, and they are quiet as a mouse on the road. I am sure some noise is coming from other hubs around the car. However, there is a noticable vibration on the right-rear door that is lacking around the rest of the car at highway speeds. I stuck my head out the door (someone else was driving) and the wheel seemed to be running smoothly (unbalanced tire?). There is a crack in the main arm rubber bushing but the mount seems to still be intact. Does anyone have any other ideas?
Also, the exhaust seems to be in great shape, too.
