cruise control problem

I have a 2001 Civic EX w/ manual tran. and 160k miles. Recently, I have noticed that while in fifth gear and cruise on, if I go 65 mph or more it will pop me out of gear into netural. It does not do this if cruise is off, I can go whatever speed and it's fine. Has anyone heard of this happening? Thank you.

Re: cruise control problem

could be a loose cruise control cable. see if there is alot of slack in the cable and tighten it up.

Re: cruise control problem

well, I'm new, this being my first post, so I'm not sure if this is a bump or not but I have the same car just a bit more mileage. The cruise control doesn't work at all and the horn on the steering wheel doesn't work but it will honk with the keyless entry. Any help would be great.

Re: cruise control problem

could be a blown fuse or fuses.

Re: cruise control problem

yah I checked the fuses, tried the relay on the lights to see if the relay was good or not and the lights still worked with that relay. . .
